What is it?
Lenticular printing is a process by which an image is enhanced by hand using custom software and mounted with a lenticular lens, creating a special effect. There are three different effects you can receive with lenticular images: 3D, Flip and Animation.
-A 3D image appears to have visual depth.
-A Flip image changes from one image to another as you walk by or
rotate the image.
-An Animation image is simply a “multiple flip” image to simulate visual movement

What is the process?
We mask sections of an image in our image adjustment software, then push, pull and stretch the sections in order to give the desired effect. We then print the file photographically and send it out to our finishers who mount the image onto a lenticular lens sheet.

Will it work for my images?
Lenticular effects work best with images that have an amount of focal depth with a central focus, good color and edge contrast. We are happy to look at your image(s) and advise you on whether or not lenticular would work well.

What does it cost?
Each job requires a custom quote, but there is some information we can give you regarding the cost factors:

-Because this service has an infinite amount of possibilities, the cost depends on your budget and what effect you are hoping to achieve. It is a service that requires an immense amount of vision and skill from start to finish and is therefore extremely labor intensive.

-Since masking is done by hand, images that have simple shapes will take much less time versus images that have intricate details, making a significant difference in cost.

-The base minimum cost of computer time for any lenticular project is $1000 per image. The actual print (including the lens) is $40 per square foot.

How long does it take?
Turnaround times vary according to the complexity of the job and production scheduling. It generally takes two weeks from start to finish.
