How to create a new book using the Easy Photo Book Wizard:
1. Launch My Photo Books
2. When the Welcome menu pops up, select “Create New Book”
3. Choose a size for your photo book. Please note that all books have a minimum of 20 pages and a maximum of 100 pages.
4. You should now see the Photo Book workspace. Clicking the Fast Track button will launch the Easy Photo Book Wizard.
5. Select your theme, orientation, book size and book cover.
6. Click Select Pictures and select the file containing the images you’d like in your book. You may select individual files, or click Select All at the top of the page. You may also add images from different folders. When you are done selecting images, click “OK”. The window will show you how many images you’ve selected and an estimation of how many pages your book will have. Click Next.

7. Click “Preview Pictures” to change the order of images, rotate images and change photos. Click OK, then click Next.
8. If you’d like, you may add a text caption to the first page of your book. If you do not want a text caption, leave this field blank and click Next.
9. The Photo Book Summary verifies the information you have selected. If the information looks correct, click Finish.
10. You may close the pop up window to get a better view of your book. Now it is time to design your cover. You may select from the images already in your book, or you may add a new image by clicking the Add Image button found on the bottom of the screen to the left of the Image Toolbar. Select the page thumbnail called Front on the far left of the Page Browser on top of the screen. This is your front cover. You will also notice a corresponding “back cover” to the far right of the page browser. To spread an image across the entire front and back cover, simply drag and drop the image. To remove any item from a page, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on the image or page and go to Edit. If you prefer, you may design your cover with a picture frame. To add a Picture Frame, simply right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on the page, go to Insert and select the picture frame for your image. Then drag the image from the Image Toolbar into the frame. To add a text caption, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac), go to Insert and select New Caption. The icon on the icon on the bottom right of the caption box allows you to type.the top right of the caption box opens the font box where you can select your text font, size, color, etc.
11. Use the page browser to navigate through your book pages. When your book is ready, click Send to A&I at the top of the screen. If there are any problems with your book, a pre-print validation will alert you.You may either Cancel Printing to remedy the trouble or you may Proceed With Printing. Depending on your computer speed and the size of your book, print preparation can take up to 45 minutes.
12. You will be asked to view a PDF proof of your cover and pages. This PDF must be approved before placing your order. Keep a look-out for design mistakes such as off-center images and typos. If you’d like to make changes to your book, simply click the Cancel button. If your book design is satisfactory, check the approval box and click continue. Uploading may take up to one hour depending on your internet connection.
13. A pop up window will alert you when your book has uploaded successfully. Follow all instructions and fill out all required fields in the online shopping cart. A verification email will be sent shortly after placing your order.

How to create a new custom book:
1. Launch My Photo Books

5. You can use the small icons to the left of your image browser to either add individual files or entire folders. Image thumbnails will appear in the browser when the images are loaded. This may take a moment depending on the number of images loading.

6. Use the page browser at the top of your screen to navigate through your book pages.

How to create a book using a book template:
1. To add a book template, select the Book Templates tab on the bottom of the screen. Drag and drop any template onto a page. Please note, book templates are applied to all pages and will change the layout of any pages you have already designed. If you are going to apply a book template, it is best done as a first step.
2. To add a photo to a picture frame, simply drag and drop the image from the image browser onto the page.
3. To add a picture frame, simply right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on the page, go to Insert and select the picture frame for your image. Then drag the image from the Image Browser into the frame.
4. To add a text caption, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on the page, go to Insert and select New Caption. The icon on the bottom right of the caption box allows you to type, the icon on the top right of the caption box opens the font box.
**Helpful Hint: If you will be adding more text in the book, leave the font box open in your workspace for quick and easy changes.
5. Double-clicking any image or background will open the Image Toolbar. Most image adjustments and enhancements can be made quickly and easily with this toolbar. You can keep the toolbar open to adjust different images. Just click on any image to select it (a green box will appear around a selected image or background) and choose your adjustment from the toolbar.
From left to right, the buttons on the toolbar will:
- Rotate Counter-clockwise
- Cancel Rotations
- Rotate Clockwise
- Zoom In
- Zoom Out
- Fits Frame To Image (full image will show)
- Remove Filter
- Add Black & White Image Filter
- Add Sepia Image Filter
- Fade Image (move bar up & down to fade more or less - previews automatically)
- Auto-Enhance Image (The arrow to the right of the button allows you to customize corrections applied to the image)
6. To move an image within a picture frame, click on the image (a green box will appear around a selected image or page), then move the arrows to adjust the placement of the image.
7. To add a border to a picture, select the Picture Borders tab on the bottom of your screen. Drag and drop your desired border onto the picture.
8. To remove a border from a picture, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) and go to Edit, then to Remove Border.
9. To change a background, select the Page Backgrounds tab on the bottom of the screen. Drag and drop the selected background onto the page.
10. To remove any item from a page, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on the image or page and go to Edit.

Adding Images and Features to your pages:
1. To add a picture frame, simply right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on the page, go to Insert and select the picture frame for your image. Then drag the image from the Image Browser into the frame.
2. To add a Two-Page spread, drag a picture from the Book Pictures tab onto a page (but not onto a picture frame), and select “Two Page Spread” in the pop-up menu. Please note, part of your image may be lost or distorted within the spine of your book. Be careful to keep faces and fine details out of the gutter between the pages.
3. To add a text caption, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on the page, go to Insert and select New Caption. The icon on the bottom right of the caption box allows you to type, the icon on the top right of the caption box opens the font box.

4. To add a background, select the Page Backgrounds tab on the bottom of the screen. Drag and drop the selected background onto the page.

Adding, removing and changing the order of pages
Please note that pages must be added in multiples of 4.
1. To add pages at the end of your book, go to Insert and select Append New Page.

4. To align a picture or text, go into View and select “Snap to Grid”. To adjust grid spacing, use the “Setup Grid” control in the View menu.
5. To align multiple pictures, hold down the Ctrl key to select several images. Then right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) and go to Alignment.
6. To bring an image to the front or back, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) and go to Order.
7. To add a border to a picture, select the Picture Borders tab on the bottom of your screen. Drag and drop your desired border onto the picture.
8. To remove a border from a picture, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) and go to Edit, then to Remove Border
